Our Instructors & Staff Members
Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Taekwondo and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.
Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students.
David A. Vincent (Sixth Degree Master Instructor)
Master Insructor David A. Vincent has been training in martial arts for over twenty years. He has numerous international championships in sparring and traditional forms. After many years of competition he decided to focus more on teaching others to become champions, not only in Taekwondo but also in life. Joseph P. Vincent (Senior Fourth Degree Senior Instructor)
Senior Fourth Degree Black Belt and Senior Certified Instructor, Mr. Vincent has been studying the Martial Arts for the past twenty years. With his son, David Vincent, he has owned and operated three Martial Arts school and has been able to provide his students with opportunities to fulfill their dreams of running their own Martial Arts studio.

Sarah Bailey (Fifth Degree Senior Instructor)
Fifth Degree Black Belt and Senior Certified Instructor, Sarah Bailey has been training under Master David Vincent since January 1994. Now over thirteen years later, her passion is sharing what she has learned from her instructor and helping others to improve the quality of their life through the Martial Arts and Martial Arts based fitness.

Brandon Shirley (Fourth Degree Senior Instructor)
Fourth Degree Black Belt and Senior Certified Instructor, Brandon Shirley has been training in the Martial Arts for almost ten years. He has always enjoyed the competition and goal setting aspects of Taekwondo. Now working as a full time instructor, he is able to help others train for their competitions and fulfill the goals they set for themselves.

Trey Dotson (Senior Second Degree Certified Instructor)
Trey Dotson is an accomplished Martial Artist as well as a dedicated instructor. He has been training with Master David Vincent since 1998 and is a champion in the sparring ring as well as in the classroom. Trey is also very knowledgeable with several weapons including nunchucks, samurai swords and tonfas.

Amber Hammonds (Senior Second Degree Senior Certified Instructor)
Amber Hammonds is a accomplished Black Belt in the art of Han Mu Do as well as Taekwondo. She has been training in the Martial Arts since the age of five and has recently earned the rank of Second Degree Black Belt. Way to go Amber!

Jonnifer Cooper (Senior Second Degree Certified Instructor)
Jonnifer Cooper is a Senior Second Degree Black Belt and Senior Certified Instructor for Martial Arts and Fitness. He has Martial Arts experience in numerous styles in addition to his primary background of Taekwondo. Jonnifer also has extensive knowledge of several weapons including the bo staff, sai, nunchucks, and tonfas! He is very dedicated to furthering his training as well as the training of the students at Martial Arts and Fitness.

Emily Allain (Second Degree Certified Instructor)
Emily holds the rank of Second Degree Black Belt and is also a Certified Instructor. Emily is as dedicated to her own training in Taekwondo as she is to the students at Martial Arts & Fitness.

Stephanie Haydel (Senior Third Degree Senior Certified Instructor)
Another reason why everyone wants to "Kick like a girl" at Martial Arts & Fitness. Stephanie began her training in Metarie and has been training and teaching classes for David Vincent since moving to Baton Rouge to attend LSU.
